The Art of Living

Patty McCormack is an architect, designer, business owner, community volunteer, and mother of four. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington School of Architecture and joined the world of big firm architecture in Dallas, first at HKS, Inc. for 9 years followed by 3 years at HDR, Inc. She established her residential practice after starting a family in 1998.

Patty’s goal is to help her clients achieve the art of living, a concept she learned from her mentor and esteemed architect Diego Villaseñor while collaborating on the design and construction of Casa Papelillos in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, Mexico. She believes that, “Home is a place to enjoy and celebrate life – both in vibrant and subtle ways – that reflects the essence of its people.”  This is what guides her design process.

Patty has served as Board member or officer of a number of community and charitable organizations in Dallas. She was born in Lima, Peru and raised there and in Caracas, Venezuela before moving to Dallas where she lives, works, and plays. She is fluent in Spanish.
